Previous My new German friend Brick. Oddly enough, she likes beer.

Next May 6: Back on the trail in the morning. A full day of resupply, rest, and bad tv has everyone stircrazy to get back out there. Fattening up at real restaurants instead of the pictured trail lunch had been nice. The temp at altitude will be near freezing but dry. Happy trails.

Trek with Pat

It is said that the Appalachian Trail draws the young, the retired, and bunches of middle aged white guys in mid-life crisis. I will let my readers judge my status and motivations. Hopefully this blog will not only help my friends and family keep track of my whereabouts, but will also be an enjoyable glimpse into trail life. Maybe I'll throw in an occasional humorous rant about the criminal justice system. For now, join this recovering lawyer on his hike of discovery.
