September 19: zero in Stratton

Boy, there is nothing like a zero.  I feasted, laundered, showed horrified onlookers my toe, and all around rested.  I needed it.  I booked my return flight for 10-3 to sort of “motivate” me going forward.  I don’t have the German applying the spurs anymore.  Hopefully that will do the trick.  In the meantime, I have one last super hard mountain series before things flatten out a bit– the Bigalows.  In order to further motivate my progress, I signed up for a seventeen mile reverse slack/pack for tomorrow.  The hostel drives me seventeen miles forward without my pack and I hike back to Stratton over the entire Bigalow range.  Wish me luck and happy trails.
