May 5: cinco de mayo. Everyone is taking double zeros because of dire winter storm warnings at altitude. It never materialized today which is very frustrating. Tomorrow is supposed to be the worst — but we shall see. We have seven here in our super 8 waiting out the “storm”. We are all stir crazy and sick of pizza buffet by now. Sunday morning we are going to get after it again. Pictured is the legendary Nemo, doing his fourth AT at a pace of 40 plus miles a day. He floats over the trail at marathon speed. His pack weighs 7.5 pounds. I can’t believe people like him exist, it’s just unreal. Tomorrow’s post will review Guardians of the Galaxy which we will attend in between buffets. Happy trails.
