Previous Major T-storms on the mountain. Tent kinda holding, there are places I’d rather be☹️

Next April 21: Pictured is my friend two chairs and I on top of 6600 foot Clingmans Dome– the highest peak on the AT. It was a ten mile hike to the top and we hiked another 5 miles to a shelter. We are all nearly out of food and are planning on resupply at Gatlinburg. It also means that at camp all anyone is talking about is food. Favorite restaurant, favorite food, what buffet to go to after breakfast, I could go on.

Trek with Pat

It is said that the Appalachian Trail draws the young, the retired, and bunches of middle aged white guys in mid-life crisis. I will let my readers judge my status and motivations. Hopefully this blog will not only help my friends and family keep track of my whereabouts, but will also be an enjoyable glimpse into trail life. Maybe I'll throw in an occasional humorous rant about the criminal justice system. For now, join this recovering lawyer on his hike of discovery.
